Bryan Ochotorena holds a degree in Design (Visual Communication) from PUC-Rio. Grew up in Rio de Janeiro, in his studio/workshop which is currently located in the mountains of Rio. He is specialized in creative processes using wood as an artistic language. Was trained as a teacher by the renowned Sloyd Experience.

Conceived, co-produced, and taught the first "Family Carpentry" project, a series of intergenerational creative carpentry classes. He was invited to teach drawing and stenciling workshops at the PUC-Rio Design Week and UFF. Inaugurated the Maker Space at Colégio Andrews, teaching Creative Carpentry class. He is a collaborator at LAB-MEMO, PUC-Rio. Collaborated and coordinated the implementation of PHILIA LAB, by Gisela Simas. Was an assistant and apprentice to Ricardo Graham. Creator of a tactile permanent mural in the interior of the Instituto Benjamin Constant, made of wood for visually impaired students. Held his first solo exhibition in 2024, and in 2025 he had a solo exhibition at ExpoChora. In 2026, his solo exhibition was at Galeria Claraguas.

As a multidisciplinary artist, he works in conjunction with the potential of design's projective thinking in harmony with the artistic field. Develops manual and sculptural work through immersion in investigations related to supports, techniques and materials, layers, three-dimensionality, wood, connection with nature, spirituality and self-knowledge, observation of cycles, and unimaginable manifestations that may arise.
